First time registrations:
For a first time registration on the Classic and Historic Club Permit Scheme, you will need to meet certain eligibility conditions.
- Your VW must be minimum 25 years old and must be UNMODIFIED
- You need to be a current financial member of the Volkswagen club of Victoria. You can apply/renew your membership online
- You need to have a Volkswagen Club of Victoria membership number (For new members, this is given out once your membership is processed)
If you are eligible, the vehicle will need to have a current RWC with at least 2 weeks left till expiry and then pass an eligibility inspection before it can go on the Scheme.
Please see the attached Club Permit Scheme Guidelines for full details on how to obtain a club permit for your vehicle.
To best coordinate the timing of vehicle tests and set inspection appointments, please contact our current Permit Officer, Andrew Ermel, at firstname.lastname@example.org
In order to ensure that all requirements are completed prior to the expiry of the roadworthy certificate, we kindly request that you contact Andrew to coordinate the timing of your vehicle's inspection prior to obtaining a roadworthy certificate. This will allow you to ensure that once the roadworthy certificate is obtained, you will be able to get your vehicle inspected with enough time to allow for the processing of your application by VWCV and then VicRoads.
If you are currently on the scheme, make sure that your membership is up to date and send the renewal with a stamped self addressed envelope
